Chipidea Licenses Synopsys' Galaxy Design and Discovery Verification Platforms
LISBON, Portugal and MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, and Chipidea, a world-leading analog and mixed-signal semiconductor IP provider, today announced that Chipidea has licensed key tools included in Synopsys' Galaxy(TM) Design and Discovery(TM) Verification platforms to address tough IP design challenges.
Chipidea demands leading EDA solutions to design and verify its complex IP. For this, Chipidea selected Synopsys' Galaxy Design Platform, which permits a range of design functions including RTL synthesis, physical implementation, test automation, signal integrity closure, parasitic extraction and physical verification. Chipidea will also have access to Synopsys' Discovery Verification Platform, including the VCS(R) tool for RTL verification, and HSPICE(R) and NanoSim(R) tools for mixed-signal design and verification.
